COMMISIONING

Commissioning is the process of planning, documenting, scheduling, testing, adjusting, verifying, and training, to provide a facility that operates as a fully functional system per the Owner’s Project Requirements. The goal of the Commissioning Process is to enhance the quality of the delivered project by focusing the design and construction team on the Owner’s goals for a functional and energy efficient building. The earlier a Commissioning Provider is involved in the project process the greater the chance there is for the Commissioning Provider to influence corrections without increased costs later.General engineering d.o.o. grew out of commissioning. Checking the most important parts of high and medium voltage plants and their commissioning through the commissioning process requires a broad knowledge of energetics as well as specialist knowledge in the field of protection. Gen.E engineers have tested and commissioned hundreds of plants in more than 50 countries.

TESTING

An electrical test is an evaluation of the parametric, functional, or timing performance of a component when electrical power is applied. Parametric tests typically involve dc or analog measurements of current or voltage. Functional tests usually have Boolean test patterns applied to the inputs (the logic stimulus) and the Boolean outputs are evaluated (the logic response). The set of applied stimulus and expected response conditions for all the component’s primary input and output pins for each logic state is referred to as a test vector. Timing tests measure the rising and falling edges of signals, usually the primary outputs, to determine the time required for output changes to occur as a result of input stimulus changes. Timing tests are often used to measure the time that the component takes to propagate a change through a critical logic path.
